Mohammed Magdi

Mohammed Magdi is a stand-up comedian based in Hong Kong. Mohammed started his stand-up career in 2013 in Shanghai, China, where he was a regular feature, MC, and headliner at China’s only full-time comedy club; then he went on to headline and perform in more than 15 countries and 30 cities around the world, including a sold-out run at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Mohammed was the opening act for Jim Gaffigan on his “Quality Time” tour in Shanghai in and the opening act for Gad Elmaleh on his “Dream Tour” in Shanghai. He also worked with many renowned comedians, including Joe Wong, Neal Brennan, Mark Normand, Ari Shaffir, Zainab Johnson, Kyle Kinane, Sean Patton, and many more.

Mohammed is the producer behind Backstage Comedy. He is also a full-time events producer, comedian, and emcee. Some of his previous and regular clients include Bloomberg, Soho House, Developments in Literacy Charity Foundation, Hong Kong Cricket Club, Barracuda Networks, Clockenflap, and many private hire clients.

Mohammed is the co-host of Hong Kong’s top and longest-running comedy podcast in English, Ho Ho Hong Kong.
